Our bodies benefit from movement but our minds benefit from stillness.
Several months after starting to build my yoga business, I deepened my knowledge and skills with further Yoga Teacher Training in Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation and Mindfulness. I am drawn to these slower, more inwardly connected styles of yoga that encourage rest and the ability to BE.
With intention and space we can increase our awareness of habitual thought patterns and actually re-write these internal scripts. Often we are not aware that we even have this internal dialogue, operating on autopilot through the lens with which we were brought up. But if conditioning can be layered on over years and years of routine and repetition, then equally it can be undone with patience, compassion, awareness and repetition. This can help shift energetic blocks and uncover an internal sense of freedom and power as we reclaim our sovereignty. Meditation gives more than it takes. The benefits of the practice stay with you for much longer than the time it takes to turn inward regularly.
