Location: Yoga by Nadine Hill private studio.
Class is full:
This is a courtesy announcement to let you know that this month’s Cosy Club is fully booked. FEBRUARY 2025
As you know this is a boutique studio and places fill up quickly. The next Cosy Club will go on sale the day after this month’s event.
For your reference, here are the next scheduled Cosy Club events:
I’m often asked to deliver private Cosy Clubs for groups of workmates, social clubs etc. If you have a group that would like to do a private Yoga Nidra session then please contact me and we can book a date. This can take place at my studio or at your venue, within a reasonable travelling area.
To get your yoga fix in the meantime, please enjoy one of the free 10 minute stretch videos from my YouTube channel or I have some full length classes available at my website.
Feedback from previous Cosy Club events:
“It was like coming to an adult sleepover!”
“I went home and slept ‘like a baby’ that night!”
(afterwards) “It feels like I’ve had a massage, without the massage!”
“That felt like 2 minutes to me, not 90!”
What is Cosy Club?
Cosy Club is the name I created for my Yoga Nidra event as I bring in elements that aren’t in Nidra sessions that you might access elsewhere. I have created a nurturing space in my studio and attendees also enjoy a herbal tea and other aspects (you’ll need to attend to discover!) to keep things cosy. However Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice that originated in India and it is a branch of yoga that promotes deep relaxation and reflection.
During the session you are guided through a meditation that will help shift your brain waves from a beta state (awakened with lots of brain activity) to an alpha state (relaxed, restorative and restful). This powerful process is often known as yogic sleep. You will adopt a supported and comfortable reclined position through the use of props, then you are guided into conscious deep rest.
Yoga Nidra activates the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing the body’s regulatory functions to rest and digest which is why it is so restorative and calming. This is the opposite to ‘fight or flight’ which is triggered by encountering stress in daily life.
