Yoga Nidra is a stillness class, not a movement class. The process promotes deep relaxation and meditation, shifting your brain waves from a beta state (awakened with lots of brain activity) to an alpha state (relaxed, restorative and restful).

Time: 19:30 – 21:00 GMT (1.5 hour duration for ‘in person’ attendees*)
Location: Yoga by Nadine Hill private studio (WF6). Address revealed upon booking.

Dress code: Wear comfortable, warm clothes that you can move freely in – layers are great, socks are recommended and you can even wear pyjamas! Some attendees wear oversized hoodies, perfect for getting cosy!
Bring with you: A blanket and a pillow, you will be getting cosy and comfortable.
Description:
Yoga Nidra is a deeply traditional practice where you are guided through the subtle layers of the body and mind. This powerful process is often known as yogic sleep. During the session you will be instructed in adopting a supported and comfortable reclined position, extra props are available to help, and then you are guided into conscious deep rest.
Yoga Nidra activates the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing the body’s regulatory functions to rest and digest which is why it is so restorative and calming. This is the opposite to ‘fight or flight’ which is triggered by encountering stress in daily life. This special event will cultivate the environment and framework you need to access this place of stillness within you and afterwards you can enjoy a herbal tea as you come round before returning home for a chilled out evening or even straight into restful sleep.

Cosy Club AT HOME: NEW! Why not try the new digital offering, Cosy Club At Home? You enjoy the same Yoga Nidra event as the people in the studio but attend from the comfort of your own home, so you can drift off to sleep after the session or enjoy a slower pace as you come round. The session for ‘At Home’ customers will run for approximately one hour. You will join the Zoom session on an audio only basis with your camera off so you can relax into the privacy of the container and immerse yourself into the practice.
